Are you passionate about driving innovation in coatings technology? Do you thrive in a dynamic research environment where your expertise can make a real impact? We're seeking a talented Researcher I to join our team and take our R&D efforts to the next level.
As a Researcher I, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, executing, and analysing research elements within our technical field. Whether you're exploring new product concepts, testing existing technologies, or developing fundamental understanding of key coating attributes, your work will directly contribute to our R&D strategy and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data and develop working hypotheses to drive technical leads and generate insights.
• Demonstrate expertise in coatings chemistry, developing new measurement techniques and constructing credible models.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues, acting as a consultant and facilitating collaboration.
• Proactively seek and implement new techniques and methodologies to advance research efforts.
• Lead project delivery, identifying risks and barriers, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Facilitate comprehensive evaluations of technologies, processes, and capabilities, engaging both internal teams and external technology providers and researchers.
  

What do you need to have to be successful in this role?

• Master's or PhD degree in coatings chemistry, polymer science, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in coatings research, with ideally 12 months in powder coatings.
• Strong knowledge of coatings formulation, application, and performance, particularly in powder coatings.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to plan, execute, and guide work programs effectively.
• Independent, self-organized, and adept at problem-solving.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to undergo 6 months of training in our BU powder lab in Italy.
