Join Our Team as a Demand Planner

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the dynamic world of demand planning? We're looking for a Demand Planner to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping our future success.
At AkzoNobel, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in every aspect of our business. As a Demand Planner, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our products meet customer demand efficiently and effectively. You will join a dynamic and international environment. This role is based in Sassenheim in the Paints EMEA Demand Planning department. You'll report to the MSU Customer Demand Manager for Benelux, who, in turn, reports to the RCD/MSU/respective Commercial lead. Your insights will directly impact key decision-makers within the organization.

1. • Dive into data to predict future demand with technical precision.
   • Utilize your expertise to incorporate external factors into the forecast.
   • Seamlessly integrate your forecasts into our systems.
2. Transform Insights into Action (35%)
   • Collaborate with the Customer Demand Manager in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
   • Provide a strategic, long-term view for demand over 4 to 36 months.
   • Deliver actionable insights that drive the Demand Control process over 0 to 3 months.
3. Champion Effective Collaboration (30%)
   • Partner with our internal Sales team to drive accurate forecasting.
   • Collaborate with external Customers to enhance forecast accuracy.
   • Tap into cross-functional expertise, working closely with teams like Category to boost accuracy.
   • Embrace continuous improvement principles through ALPS tools, such as MDI.

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

• Producing precise and detailed forecasts that contribute to our IBP process.
• Ensuring customer plans are accurately reflected across key metrics.
• Challenging and managing assumptions in sales forecasts to inform strategic decisions.
• Monitoring performance against forecasts and leading discussions to address issues.
• Keeping marketing, finance, and supply chain teams informed of any forecast changes.
• Analyzing abnormal customer demands to drive informed decisions and meet customer service

What do you bring?

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A degree or equivalent education.
• Prior exposure to supply chain management.
• Strong process-driven mindset focused on enhancing business efficiency.
• Basic proficiency in Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Fluent spoken and written proficiency in English and Dutch.
